It's still 5 days away, but it looks like the weather will cooperate Saturday. I'm going to Hard Times regardless, but BK of course depends on the weather. I've been at BK when it started clouding up, and that place clears out QUICK once the first drop falls.

Sorry to hear it. Hopefully we can get something planned again for October or November and you can make it then.

Yeah, I'll definitely make an effort to go to the next one Fortunately the new job I'm getting I won't ever have to worry about weekends, which means unless something else comes up... I'll be there.

I've been to two in Maryland. I showed up for lunch and waited an hour. There WAS a Grand Prix there, but there was no one in the car when I was there, and when I went to Best Buy for a few minutes, they were gone.

What pisses me off, is over and over people say, "We should meet." I set it up, give several weeks notice, and only ChrisJ shows. I went home after 2:00 PM; I wasn't gonna kill 3 hours in Manassas wait to go to BK. Heck, I drove up to Woodbridge, NJ once, and one guy showed up. It "might" rain, so folks don't show. And I have no problems with folks who even say they won't show - at least if there was interest from them, they let you know ahead of time they can't make it. So that lets you off the hook QuickLynx . If I had no one one would have shown for lunch, I would have just gone to BK to meet Chris.

Maybe this should be in the Rant Forum. Just saying it takes more than talk on the forums to meet.

Dee you got my number. I'm normally at BK on Saturdays if the weather is good. That place was packed Saturday biggest turn out I have seen there.

I may have to stop down in Vienna sometime after 4pm when I get off work during the weekend, pending if I work the midnight shift. It is not as far from my house as I expected. I went down there about a week and a half ago with a friend to the performance bicycle shop... next to some pet store. We then went to some New York Style joint up the street from it. I forget what it was called but that Gyro was amazing! Curly Fries beat Arby's... almost impossible to beat Arby's Curly Fries!

Too bad most of ya'll aren't near Fredericksburg. There's a little cafe that's got some amazing food "Amy's" they're known for their steaks, but the Gyro's are pretty good.

That really does suck to hear there was no turn out

Why do we have to be close to Fredericksburg? Is that the only place in Virginia with good food? Just saying, you want to set something up, go ahead. But expect to be disappointed by turnout...

I was joking, jeeze :P I was just saying Amy's is a really good place to eat. I wasn't insinuating to get a meet in the 'burg. There's absolutely nothing to do here...

No reason to get all haughty about it.

Thanks for the tip Kendra. I live in Stafford and I'm always looking for a new decent place to eat at since i never cook.

Deezul, I feel your frusteration. Its easy for anybody to sit behind a keyboard and promise to show. I'm kinda guilty of it as well and i apologize. Actually in my reply I said I'm pretty sure i can make it but I apologize non the less.

I'm not mad at anyone, I'm just disappointed. I can't tell you how many times I've seen folks say "I'll show" or "I'll be there" and then nothing. So i thought I'd give it a shot setting one up myself, and see if it really is a problem. And I saw first hand the results. So that's why I'm disappointed. Set up something, with the promise people will show, then nothing. And since there's nothing in Bealeton worth going to, that's why I picked Manassas; I thought it was a little more "central" to everyone who was interested.

I was irked that my boss didn't give me the day I requested off. She's a piece of work, and not in a good way. Manassas was more than fair, and if you really want to try to have a go again. I'd be more than happy to make it to the next one.

First month Saturday's are taken up by a horse show, aside from that I'm willing to go meet a few GP folks. I have yet to go to a meet, not because I chose not to... but because there aren't many people around this area that give a crap about their Pontiacs.

I figure we can try again in September or October before it gets too cold.
