We have added a new feature to the site. If you look at the bottom right of a posted reply, next to the edit, quote, reply buttons, you'll see a 'thanks' button now.

This is something along the lines of the user reputation but much easier to use. When you see information, or a post or something useful that you want to thank the poster for putting up, just click on that button for the reply you want to give thanks for and the poster will be given thanks.

Under your profile information you will see a line that say 'Thanks' and one that says Thanked x times in x posts.

The Thanks line is the number of thanks that particular member has given thanks to someone else. The Thanked x times in x posts is the number of times the member has been thanked for information that he or she has posted.

Please make use of this feature so that those that are contributing get the recognition that they deserve. It is anonymous but nonetheless it is nice to know that your contributions have helped someone out.

Apparently so, which doesnt make sense to me, but I dont see it being used much. And I stand corrected as well on the anonymity. You can see who gave you thanks. Which, again, that should not be an issue either.

Thats a cool feature, I logged in and was like, "whats this?" when I saw my name.

    I like it!

    Good idea!

Do I give you thanks now with a click of the mouse? I guess I can try it out, what the hell.
