I plan on picking up my GP really soon, and there's some kids from school who use that NightShade stuff to tint their head and tail-lights, and it usually ends up looking pretty bad. Anyways, are there any alternatives? Like, buying the entire light already like that, or what? I don't trust myself with doing something like that.

    Year?

97-03 cars can buy black housing headlights and smoked LED tail lights. 04+ cars have LED tails aswell.

You're an idiot if you use VHT on your headlights, its a ticket waiting to happen aswell as not being able to see ****ing anything at night.

    I agree.

You can always have the tails professionally tinted. I am a forum whore and know of some people who do them for between 100-200. I did my tails with VHT and threw some clear on top. They turned out pretty dull which matches my dull black paint perfectly. It's not a hard process and if you screw up, you can remove it with a little elbow grease. I am sure you can find a write up on how to apply the stuff properly.

Around a 98-2000, so that'd apply to me. That's what I was considering doing -- just getting a dark housing for it, although it isn't the easiest thing in the world to find.

Bodyshop or a tint shop..most can do it and and no do not tint your headlights if anything get black housing instead but your going to minimize your light output

Theres a writeup on here somewhere I think about tinting with VHT that uses coats of vht and wetsanding and then coats of clear and more wetsanding and finishing by waxing. I did that with mine and you can see plenty of light yet. They look semi dark but when the light shines through it looks perfectly fine. Just don't put layers and layers of vht on and you will be fine. As for the headlights no vht. You can bake a set apart (or use a heat gun) and paint the top and bottom of the inside of the light a gloss black and that would look good. I also put a super duper fine mist of vht on the lenses and wetsanded most of it off and then did clear coats and they turned out nice. I only did the light coat of vht because the lense plastic I had tried to restore but it still had a little whitish hazy look to it that I wanted gone. I would not suggest you put any vht on headlight lenses at all though.

I want it to be a quick process, instead of a several hour, pain in the ass. Thanks man. I think I'll use VHT on the tail-lights, and either paint the inside of the headlight housing, or buy a black housing.
