    To make a long story short I need to know the proper "naming" of these door moldings because I want to get one replaced. Do anyone know the proper name of them?

    These are the driver side back door moldings that DON'T need replacing;

    This is the passenger door molding that DOES need replacing;

    how don't they work?..

    Open your back door(s), if you have a 4 door. Its the rubber piece aligning the "corner" of the door that keeps water, dust, & other materials out i'm guessing. There's nothing more I can show in another picture. I showed what one side looks like that doesn't need replacing and another that Does need replacing, with the tape on it. I'll put up another picture highlighting the exact point of reference.

    you can copy and paste the address link, to where ever your pics are hosted, right in the reply window.

    or copy and paste the img, or direct link into the insert image icon, click the icon, a window pops open, then paste in the text line. hit ok.

    I replaced those on my car when I first got it(2 door). I work at a GM dealership so they pulled up pictures on the computer of all the parts of the door. Maybe do that, because I dont know what its called, but if you go to a GM dealer they can do the same thing. Mine were like 60 bucks each and that was with my employee discount. For the front, I had to take the mirror off, which means you have to take off the door panel. There are a ton of screws that attach those top weatherstrips you are looking for.
