If you got an auto parts store near you then a regular obd2 scanner should cost around $60. Or if you have an android phone you can get a blue tooth obd2 adapter and the Torque app and read the codes and real time data. The app and blue tooth adapter will cost around $50 if I remember correctly. I'll post links to the stuff you could buy.
