My first ever use of Plastidip

looks nice i wanna do my wheels i just dont want it to peel off
looks nice, espcially on a orange car, i love that color on GP's
I still would like to do my Eagle 077's sometime.
Do it man my wheels turned out really good
i just dont want rocks to chip off the paint should i lay it on heavy?
4 coats will be fine, 1st coat dust it, then the other 3 do a good amount on it, but no to much cause u dont want it to drip
I have prob 3 or 4 coats on mine and its pretty thick I doubt it will chip stuff is pretty touch
have you washed your wheels yet?
mine hasnt chipped at all, im gonna re do them tho and put glossifier on em so there not matte anymore
I have not washed mine yet
I wash by hand though
yeah same here with the hose in the drive way
Start with one wheel man see how u like it! Least this stuff comes off unlike paint
It's good to see this is finally catching on. I did mine over a year ago. I really liked the look of the finish. "Batmobile" is what comes to mind.
I did mine without the tires on yet. Not ideal. If you don't put it on with the tire already on, you'll end up doing some touch-up after tire installation. Better to do it with tires on.
Plasti-Dip is liquefied rubber. That's why if you put on a new coat, it "melts" into the previous layer unlike paint which stays somewhat layered.
Being rubber, it is prone to a solvent like gasoline. So don't wash your rims with gas and don't overfill your tank and you'll be fine.
All in all, it's great stuff. Just don't buy it in Canada, it's $20/can up here. Aboot $6 in the US. At 1 can/rim for 3 good coats, it's not too expensive.
