i think its a taste thing, and also a compensating thing as well. When i was 16, i put a flowmaster on my 3.1L cutlass, why? because i liked the noise. Didnt say it was a good noise, i just wanted it. Other than that i never did anything else to that car other than an aftermarket HU. If you feel the need to put a huge wing on a FWD car then you simply dont get it and it makes it easy for people to laugh at you.
Most DIY ricers and autozone ricers look so ****y because the parts are generic and they are held on with glue or tape. If you have an absolute need to have other people think your car is cool, save up and do it right. Most of these people prefer right now or right.
