    Hey everyone, im mike umm not much to say first car was and still is a 03 gp se, just clocked 100,000 miles. missin it like crazy though. i go to college four hours away from my home and my check engine light went on 3 days before i was supposed to leave, my dad ran the diagnostics and one of my transmission codes went on so hes currently rebuilding it. can't wait to get it back will be posting pics soon as well as some questions.

    yea the only thing i have done to it yet is the sub but the trani is in the process of being rebuilt

    the thing is i dont got that much money to do nothing that bad. does anyone know any cheap great sounding mufflers?

    SE... guessing 3.1L not sure about price on headers, but changing the resonator to a glasspack I've heard will give you some tone without killing it too much.

    Honestly the 3.1 and the 3.8s just don't have a good sound unless you put alot of money into them, and even then its not a great one. Most aftermarket mufflers will make it loud, nasty, and drone badly. Usually the majority of people here leave the stock mufflers on (they flow well up to 300+ whp) and just do headers and a resonator replacement to get some throatyness too it.

    3.1s dont sound like the 3.8s...you can find a good tone out of mufflers. flowmasters have a nice sound but they drone like a mofo. borlas are the nicest ive heard on anything in my opinion. get a glasspack or just take out the res.

    3.1s sounds so much better then a stock 3.8,
    headers can be found from 400-700, still alot to pay

    Yeah I hate how crappy the 3.8 in the front wheel drives sound. The rear wheel drive 3.8s can easily be made to sound like a V8.
