Just remember at cleaning time too much oil has created problems for people, coating the MAF, etc. Unfortunately part of it is design placement. Example on my bikes, the oiled side is placed face down sucking air upward, in these and other car designs the oiled side is placed face up suckiing air downward, in turn airflow and just plain gravity is drawing the oil into the intake. When I clean and oil, I try to let the clean side sit face down with a few paper towels to draw out a bit of the excess. I'm not sure this is the greatest method but has seemed to keep me out of trouble.
