my car is leaking power steering fluid, but I got no idea where to start looking for leaks, what is a common place for this system to leak from? lately, seems like even with plenty of fluid, my power steer whine like if it needs fluid..... may be the pump is going bad completly now?

99/100 times the rack leaks internally.... it will leak out the little accordian boots, and sometimes makes it look like your brakes are leaking because it runs down the tierod to the wheel.

Do you actually see drips or is it just whining? Mine whines on and off. If its leaking put stop leak steering fluid for now and see if that helps (take out some old fluid).

its hard to see drops of power steering fluid, since its leaking a little motor oil too (lol) I already used a power steering fluid with stop leak and it didn't help. Looks like its getting worse cause I used to add some fluid every week and I added fluid 2 days ago, it was whining bad this morning and I tho, well the pump may be going bad because of that leak. But I checked later and it was empty, didn't last one week this time

what you really need to do is clean your whole engine and trans with engine de greaser, ( gunk works well), then put the car up on ramps or jack stands, start it up and wait for the leak, or put some card board under your car, let it sit over night, and trace up to find the leak. it could be a bad line, the rack, or the pump leaking, wont know till you get under it and check it out.

    now go do some work

So, steering fluid is gonna leak even when the car is not running/off? I tho that the fluid was only going to leak when driving/steering.... Cause I thought of some card board under the car but I was like, I don't think is gonna leak while the car is parked

if its leaking as much as you say its going to leave a trail, and will drip when parked, clues to where the problem is.

you can also lift car, start it have a friend turn the wheels,(back and fourth) get under and look to see where its leaking from.
