When I first saw this thread I thought it said "I got a girlfriend!".

You ended up getting a nice car..especially for someone in High School! Is it dark blue or black?

    Looks great dude!

Just one word of advice, try prioritizing things first. Do the important stuff. Start with a tune up and work from there. I ended up doing some maintenance and some aesthetics, didn't work out too well.

yeah not too bad, but on the right fender near the hood it looks like someone just painted over rust lumps or they glooped the paint up.

Nice looking car there Nathan! Nice to know that there are now 3 kids under 18 on here driving GP's lol. As far as the headlights just wanna let you know that I got all new headlights and side markers (for both sides....with new headlight bulbs) off of Amazon for $70.00 shipped to my door. Much to my surprise, they came in a box labeled Eagle Eyes and I've put roughly 400 miles on them so far and I'm loving them.

Ok, I just checked Amazon to give you the link to the set that I got, but I don't see them anymore. I got a clear set but there is this set that was going to be my second choice. $54.55 + $11.99 shipping = $66.54 for all new lights (that are even somewhat darkened!) shipped to your door with a new set of lightbulbs. Can't beat that.
And I know what ya mean about working with a high schoolers budget haha. I keep telling myself that I'm just going to spend money to keep the car in as good of shape as I can without spending serious $$ on buying all kinds of performance stuff, but I'm finding it harder and harder to do....

    I know the feeling....
If I had money to just throw at my car left and right I would have bought about 20 things for it by now. I started with the more important things like getting the engine running right, replacing wiper blades and washer fluid pump, fixing drivers door locks and passenger door window, getting a non-leaking auto-dim rear view mirror, getting new tires, fixing my interior lights, getting new headlights, fixing broken tab on rear window defroster. Then I moved on to less significant things like replacing burned out bulbs in the radio and steering wheel controls, fixing the lumbar support knob, recharging the AC, and just a few other small things. (I also cleaned the living f*ck out of the thing while I had the engine torn apart.) Now that it drives and everything is working the way it should, I'm looking at hopefully getting some HID fog lights and then swapping out my drivers seat for a heated one. If I get those 2 things done before snow flies I'll be happy.
Long run though I'd like to get an interior LED lighting kit, lowering springs, some minor performance stuff (HV3 and maybe a tune), paint the front fascia, add reflective letters to the rear "Pontiac" letters, maybe add some tint, and finally get some touch-up paint and clear coat to try and make it look as good as I can. If I get all that done before I graduate and move on to college I'll be happy.
