I need a material very similar to plexi glass that a projector bowl can set directly on and not be affected. I was actually thinking of using 1/4 inch plea glass but I'm not sure if that will burn? also i need to fill some holes inside the housing and then paint over them..... what would be the best filler for this?

Lexan is the way to go. Thats what Mistubishi made the headlights for the 95-99 Stealth and 3000GT's out of. I even put a set in the oven at 250* so I could take them apart and clean some condensation out of.

Lexan's melting point starts at 300*.
