    is getting a throttle body spacer worth it? and what kind of gains would i expect from one?

    No "gains" other than the TB and all of it's sensors won't get hot like they do know. Personally I've ran one and will be doing so again the very near future.

    Lee hit on the one good thing about the spacers. They do isolate the TB from the blower and significantly reduce its temps therefore not exposing all the sensors mounted there to the heat of the blower.

    just tap and plug the coolant passages on the LIM and be done with it. dont buy that, waste of money.

    Unfortunately, doing it that way requires a bit of additional modification so as to not starve the rear bank of coolant flow. It can be done that way, but you still dont isolate the TB from the blower which still makes a ton of heat that soaks through to the TB unless it is isolated in some manner such as with a spacer.

    ah yes. mine is bored out on the side of the LIM for more flow. actually completely slipped my mind, good lookin'.
