I like the size of the filter.
Corrugated tubing might hurt air velocity, and it would additionally be slowed by there being a whole 30 inches of it. The fact of it being bent at a diameter of only 3.5 inches (instead of 4) might get someone's panties in a twist, but it's better than 3 inches.
At $99, the price is right, with all those pieces... it's about the price you could make that for, provided you prefer the $45 K&N filter over, say, a $25 Spectre dry flow.
For me, I'd say this is in no way better than just removing the airbox and strapping a 9" Spectre dry flow filter on the MAF. You'll save $75 and see the near-identical performance. Oh, and the filter will be slightly cleaner (needing less frequent cleaning) when it's in the engine bay instead of the fender.
