I've been looking around for a new GP..and stumbled across this: eBay Motors: Pontiac : Grand Prix (item 360059164875 end time Jun-15-08 16:16:56 PDT)
I noticed a gap between the hood and nose...but other than that it looks nice to me

60/40 Split-Fold Rear Seat![]()
In my book. A head unit is a red flag, if the vehicle is in the condition that this one is in. I dont think a old man would put in a head unit, so being that, it was probablly owned by a younger guy who may or may not have take care of it like a old man who drives it to church and parks it in the garage would.
I can show you 40+ year old guys at NAIOA that have head units and moderate amp/sub combos that take care of their car better than most. I think it's a bit short sighted to say that any time there's a new head unit in the car it was owned by a youth and not taken care of.
The only reason I originally upgraded from the factory head unit was because it didn't support MP3 CDs. Does that mean my car wasn't taken care of, or that I'm young and immature?
On the subject of the old man taking care of it, I don't want the car that was only driven to church and then parked. It was probably never broken in right. I want a car that has seen normal to moderate use with the occasional WOT because that is an engine that will last through the years. Not one that has never seen over 3k RPM.
maybe this is a bit out of line for me to say, but I had an aftermarket head unit in mine and I took good mechanical care of it, every now and then just for kicks I would stomp on it, but I still took care of it![]()
It looks ok. It has been in NY and Maryland. Only issue with it was an accident in 1997. Has passed inspection and emmissions multiple times since then. Appears the first owner had it for almost 11 year and the second about 10 months. If the reserve was low enough I'd look at it, but I'd pass at the buy it now price. Hope this helps.
At Ease Airman, sounds like you're looking for a fight. We don't do that here!
