Until I got involved with this forum i didn't even know the car was governed at 126mph... I only got to 125mph once and that was too decimate a CivicSI that was covered in stickers. If i need to go faster Ill get on a bike, no sense in driving a car with that little down-force and a daily driver suspension over 100mph

Jet Chips are dumb you want to get tuned or get a tuned PCM to get rid of the speed limiter. But as others have said you don't need to go that fast on a normal everyday basis if you do you'll tear up your motor and tranny real fast.

If you know you can't run that speed in a quarter mile, there is not any damn reason to do so on a public road.

i fully support safe legal driving. i was just wondering cause im stationed out of germany, where the average speed on the autobahn gets close to 100. just curious as to how my GTP would have faired if i had opted to ship it over to germany, rather than sell it.

top speed on a gp is 135 140 mph at about 6200rpm with the 3,29 gears car is limited buy the 4 speed need a 6 speed for better top speed but i dont recoment going 140 i did it once and the car did not feel stable on the stock springs they are way to soft the car likes the 80-90 rang usually wht i do at 4am when there is no one on the highway
