What does it take to trap 105-110MPH?

Thanks for all the good info on this thread. I am really looking to keep the modding budget at max $2K given this car is serving winter duty (5-6 months).

Some refinement to the list with approx prices -

Short Ram Intake - 100
Headers - 250
Overkill Tune - 400
Pulley upgrade - 150
Backyard SC porting - 150 (gaskets and grinding bit)
Plugs -50
Wires - 80
T stat 180 - 10
Xp Hot Cam - 400

Total about $1,590

Do I need injectors? TB upgrade?
I want to keep stock gearing as I commute in this car and keeping the RPM's lower on the highway will keep gas mileage decent.

Oh yeah gotta try and take my buddies 03 540i 6spd out he traps around 104MPH

I think 3-4 of your price guess's are pretty high.

Intake 40 bucks, OPEN CONE on TB..... FTW!!!!!!!!!

Tune. What kind of tune you talking about here. A overkill canned tune? If so more like 100-150.

plugs 20 bucks max

wires 35ish for a good set with warranty
