I once tried being reasonable, I didn't like it.

Ya know, more I read, more I find out that a lot of people have asshole neighbors.

And if she had got the plate and reported it, the cops or security would have laughed at her.

With old people being real nice or mean, seems true. I think for the most part they are peaceful.

I didn't know places had community meetings, gyod what are we talking mayberry here? I don't know though cause any place I ever live, I do not associate with the neighbors for the most part.

well, I think you should be nice to them. let them realize that no mater what you will respect them. no where does it say you have to like them but be nice and I don't have the experience personally but i do agree that either old people are nice or bitter old aholes.

Opeople like that probably are always complaining and after a whil are not taken serious, kind of like the boy who cried wolf.

What would have been real comical is if you had hid her oxygen tank...

Couple of your friends are checkin out your ride and you say "I am experimenting to see if concentrated oxygen will work as well as NOS..."

    poopoo would hit the fan.

OP, sorry to hear about the racist old hag, I'm afraid that our illegal immigration problem probably has a lot to do with that and many decent, legal hispanic US citizens are being profiled because of our governments "inaction".

People are typically resistant to change or anything different, so in her eyes you are "new" and in her mind "invading" her little world, ie. your "nice" nieborhood.

IMO any kind of retribution on your part would be seen as a justification of her rant against you.

I'm with killing her with kindness. Take her a plate of your Aunts homemade enchilada's or a pitcher of Margaritas.

    ^^^ funny lol

I had a neighbor that lived 2 blocks down the street walk to middle of the road to tell me to slow the f down because her kids (4-7yrs old) played in the streets, thus the "slow" children playing (in the street) sign... I told her to make them play in the yard and boiled the tires as i drove away. She stopped me the next day and told me she was going to call the cops, i told her that would be unwise, she did... I told the cops i was going 25 max in a 30 because she lets her kids play unsupervised in the streets and didnt want to hit them... after that I made it a point to drive by at 30MPH in 1st gear every day.

did i mention i got home from work at 2 in the morning, 6k rpms on an open exhausted 4banger in front of her house every morning at 2.... she knew it was me... i was never bothered again

    just my 2 pennies

Just buy a taser and tase her. If it's ok for the police to do it to a bedridden old woman, it should be ok for you to do it to one that's threatening you with violence by poking at you like that.

In all seriousness though, don't do anything to provoke her at all. The next time she comes up and yells and pokes you like that, I would just call the police. Tell them she's poking you and yelling at you and that you're afraid for your safety. You never know with people like this. I once had a neighbor attack me for refusing to turn off my radio (a little battery operated one) when I was just hanging out in my back yard.

Edit: Oh crap! I should really pay more attention to most recent post in a thread.
