i did mine about a month ago. $30.00 for the fuel level sensor (that's what it's called) through rockauto. on a 97 it's about $120.00 though. it takes 2 people to put the locking ring back on. also the new sensor comes with a new fuel pump gasket..Originally Posted by 97GTzbban1
Good info....mine doesn't leak...pretty sure it's the sending unit, but am not planning to replace it till the pump actually goes. If it ain't broke, don't fix it...lol...but all I do is hit the trip reset and go about 300 miles and fill up, repeat procedure....Will have a new one lined up, ready to go when that time comes.
