2002 First week production of the last model year. Ordered in Aug. 2001 as soon as production started for the 2002 run.
All options except traction control and 3:23 performance rear end. Instead it was offered with a 3:42 posi. Later reinforced the 10 bolt rear end with a girdle cover during a service.
It wears Bright Red Paint (code 81) with Camel interior. Other options include 12 disc CD changer, Hurst shifter & linkage. For the final year GM took out all the stops and threw everything else in with the Trans AM.
At times I do kick myself for not ordering the convertible. Red & Camel was the most rare of the orders, with 14 or 15 Red & Camel convertibles.. My original intention was to use it as a daily driver, but never did. Instead I chose to keep driving the old Chevy and park this in the garage and preserve it. It still has only 17k on the clock and still wearing the original rubber.
