Sorry, I know there are a million threads on this. Anyways has there been any recent updates to these spyder projectors? Bounce wise? I really like this style the best but don't feel like dealing with the issues. Should I just save up more and get ccfls? Thanks.

There have been no updates to the lights other than the CCFL's and the all black corner instead of the chrome corner. Other than that they are all the same and have the same bounce issues and beam crossing issues.

Yeah I really don't like those LED ones where Nawarkk did the right up. I don't know why. I might just get these spyders and get some weather stripping like gtpinc stated. And by any chance do you have pics of what you did? And also how's the light out put, a lot better than stockers or should I go w/ ccfls?

i removed ALL stripping that came on lights... it was cheap garbage that was too thin. i got stripping from lowes as pictured.... they have several kinds. i got the stuff that was more of a foam rubber than foam... it has the lines imprinted in it. carefully wrapped whole light in this stripping keeping it uniformed as possible... on the adjustment brackets, i popped the plastic clips out and wrapped the clips several times in electrical tape to give it more stability. the plastic clips were floppin all around before i did this..afterwards they had a nice snug fitment. with these 2 little modifications my bounce issue was gone. getting them adjusted is the hardest part. after all is said and done. im happy with light output.

thanks... well i tried at first parking 3 feet from a wall.... that failed miserably. i have a fairly big yard, so i got the car on most level surface i could find. and adjusted til i was happy with light coverage. i didnt like the way the low beams looked... they have this funny light cut off line, shaped like a backwards Z. i dont kno if all projectors are like that. i adjusted mine so that high beams are just really bright low beams. so far i havent been flashed for being too bright and light coverage is awesome.

only problem i have is with seams of stripping where it joins coming un stuck... ill prob end up siliconing the seam down.

damn, I really want to just stick with the low beams. Does that "backwards Z" like look funny while your driving? Or is the light output still fine?

Hmm ok I can deal with that I guess. So just going to do the weather strip like you did. Can't wait, look great, why dont you have HID's? I'm going to get 4500k's eventually from ddmtuning.

Hmm...biohazed, those are halo spyders right...like the ones in the first post? And I think I'm leaning back towards those now because the ccfls housing protrudes like a bubble. I just realized that =/

yeah Mine are Halo Spyders but mine are the LED ones not the CCFL's. and the Z does have a reason.... its supposidly to stop upwards light emmitance, so you don't blind people as much.
