I have a 98 GTP and my freon leaks completely every time i try to charge it. I noticed that it was leaking on the driver side from a silver cylinder and im not completely sure what it is. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it is.

If I remember good, that is ac receive drier and if I remember good, is not expensive. I think you can get one from 20 dlls, depending on how much you want to spend, better quality, more to pay for it
Thanks. I was hoping it was cheap cause i couldn't tell from diagrams I've seen whether it was an accumulator or the drier. Apparently on gmpartsdirect they seem to be the same thing. they are the same exact price.
It has a pouch in it of disicant (sp) the same stuff thats in those little packets when you buy shoes and stuff
And yea same thing easy fix just make sure to use new orings if it has orings at that connection
yea mine leaks out in the front right hand driver side it seems like from by the fans when i add freon 134a to low side. should i replace the ac hose or the drier or both . how can diy pinpoint the leak should i just add dye and would i be able to see with naked eye or can i rent a tool to help out?
