Alright, so as some of you know i'm dumping about 3-4k into my truck as its slowly becoming a full frame draggin, daily driven show truck....Here is my current setup, Kenwood MP732 head unit, Alpine Type-S 6.5's in the doors and stock 4x6's in the dash. Behind the seats is a dual 10 truck box with 2 Memphis Power Reference DVC 10's powered by a old Bazooka 500.1 mono, 2 ohm stable amp. All 4 gauge wire and a Kinetik 600 power cell. It doesn't sound half bad but i'm looking to save some room and go for more sound quality for when the trucks done.

Heres what i'm thinking for right now. Alpine Type-R SPR17S 6.5 components for the doors, my Kenwood hu, a pair of 4x6 Alpine Type-S in the dash. Have them powered by a Kenwood 640 watt 4 channel i have layin around. For the subs, pull the memphis out and the stupid big box that takes up all of my room and replace it with a single shallow 12. I was looking at a single Pioneer Premier SW1241D that runs about 93 on ikesound. Its rated for 350 nominal and 1400 max. Power that with the Bazooka 500.1 (which is rated at like 750 max if i remember right). I was also thinking about the MB Quart RSH-304 which is 400 rms and 800 max. Anyone have any experience with either sub? I'm open to opinions but i was given the Alpine components for the doors, and there brand new so i'm using em lol, but i'm open to suggestions on sub options and dash speaker options, but not wanting to spend a ton here as i'm focusing on everything else

Find a deal on a slim MTX woofer. I have a single voice coil, 2 ohm slim 12" and it sounds amazing.

i've never been a big fan of MTX Subs, just a lack of sound quality, although i've never messed with any of there products since like 06 or 07. I loved there amps but the subs seem like they just go for loud, and not clear, which a few years ago was what i was all about. Now i want loud but clear...if the person behind me can't hear my mids and highs too, then i don't want it lol

MTX has built upon an already great product they've been supplying. If you've had bad experience, don't get them. I got a helluva deal on an MTX slim 12 (half retail) and I love it. If you don't like MTX, don't buy them. Personally I've never heard of someone not liking them.

Just buy whatever fits the budget. With slim subs, they're mostly the same.
