I think our cars peak around 49hz? I'll see if I can dig that up...

1600W RMS into 1 ohm? damping factor must really stink on that setup eh

How do you even wind a 1 ohm voice coil...... And Why?

    Or was that sarcasm.

with switching power supplies theres no reason not to use 8 ohm subs in a car IMO. dropping impedance does nothing but cause more loss in speaker wire.
Tho, I realize car amps are all rated into 2 or 4 ohms. Still seems retarded to me.

Maybe someonecan correct me but. These Hifonics amps remind me of PYRAMID back in the day.

    A 1600W amp under $300?

Hifonics makes good stuff. They do rated power. The Brutus line are great cheap high power amps.

    Interesting.

I wonder what actually comes out of the thing as far as signal quality. I've yet to even see one in person, So I have no clue about them.

The only other car amplifiers I've owned personally other then A/D/S is Zapco and this Infinity amp someone gave me. The infinity i've yet to open and have barely used. The Zapco I thought was built like garbage. Someone burnt it up and i repaired 90% of it. Got bored of it and gave it to another friend that finished

However none of that has anything to do with the Hifonics amps, So i'll have to take your guys word for now

    Main Index - Amp Guts

Some of the brutus amps are in there...

I'm guessing Second Skin owner Ant owns ROE too.
