Man what a long ride to get here. A little background: I bought a brand new GTP in 2000 and had to give it back three weeks later because the dealer went credit shopping after promising a rate they couldn't deliver. My CR dropped from 700+ to 520 in 3 days. I guess the karmic payback was that they now had a "brand new" car with 2000+ miles on it! I felt robbed and have wanted that car back ever since.

So yesterday...almost exactly 10 years later...I bought a 2003 black/black GTP. Technically this is my "Dave Ramsey" car to drive while we get back on track after two kids...but come on...it's a GTP!!!

I'm not planning any extreme modding...tho I've been know to dabble in the past. Mustangs, Cobras, street bikes...I love to wrench. Being that this is my daily driver and I start a longer commute on the 12th; I'm likely to only do simple stuff like the U-Bend, maybe a DIY CAI (I'd really like to be able to hear that 'charger better!) and maybe some suspension work.

I love that this is such an lively board. Cars like these really deserve an active community.

    Cheerz!

DD's are MUCH more fun on a smaller pulley (like a 3.5 or 3.4) and that way you can hear the blower down the block when youre in the throttle heavy.

if you do a ported blower just right you can get it to start whining around 2 psi.

Hey thanks Joe, I'm a bit south of you in Queen Creek.

Lookin' to stop by HD/Lowes tonight and pick up some pieces for a FWI. Been reading a lot of the guides on DIY stuff and think I've got it figured out. I did one for my 02 Cobra many moons ago, looks like this can be done pretty much the same.

I'd like to find someone to hack out the u-bend for me here in the next couple weeks.

<edit>Wow...someone needed more coffee this morning...my wife chastised me that our Cobra was an '01, though we bought it in '02...(insert facepalm here)</edit>
