he dyno'd at 495hp and my boys truck dyno'd at 517hp both 383 strokers bother in 65 chev trucks
well hell, iguess he wasn;t b.s. you... just when he talks about his is more pwerful, just say, yeah, no ****. lets race from 70mph up. hp is great but he's prob got a 3spd trans and granny gears in the trk. he'll be hell from a dig to 70mph but after that he;ll be wound out. the 65 trk. has what, no air? no power accesories? what else. he'll f it up.
My main problem was he was comparing apples and effin kiwis lol yea i could have bought a small block and dropped it in any pos truck off craigs list and beat some ass but i built mine
500 horse through a transmission? I'd like to call BS on that one.
what crate motor did he go with????
here is one
MAS Performance - 390_350 Specs
but if you say it put down that power, then it did. that motor after taxes and shiping would be close to 7k. if it takes you that much to beat a grand prix then go for it
there just talking ****, its not like hes ****ing your girlfriend, its all in fun. get your car back together and meet him on the street
put a 100 shot on your car (dont let him know) get it tuned in, and bust his ass...
Thats crank power... To put down 500 horse with a small block you're either on spray or have another power adder.
yes your gonna lose alot thru the tranie, specially if its an auto along with the rear end. it might put down 440 to the wheels. and its in a heavy truck. and thats the top of the line crate motor, if its anything less its not gonna put down that power.
i could have built a bbc of even a sbf motor for cheaper and put out alot more power.

Money... It can get you things... such as a SBC that displaces more than 400 cubes and 695 HP and 615 ft lbs of torque.
All for the petty sum of 25 grand.
Imagine the GP you could have for that?
I could buy a **** condition 80's f body and upgrade the suspension, engine, interior for less than that.
I think 500 horse is about the limit for street sensible

7 grand less for 640 horse instead of 695, and you'd be running a carb then.
THat kind of power can easily be done. small block are not that hard to get that kinda power from. but also, what kindaof dyno?was that thru the trans or just a motor stand, ours is like that. thats where my background was. my family gives me heck with my gtp. but they sure like riding in it and are always tell me to "stomp it!"..like i said race him from 60 or 70 kick. he's gonna have to do a lot to get that power to hook up and co-operate. turn up the radio and ac and blast him. he'll screw up sooner or later. he's not comparing apples to apples.
I went to a school with about 150 kids and there was a bunch of sh!t talkers with fox body 5.0L mustangs. I know what your saying cause I had to learn to build all my motors and pay for my cars. They just ask daddy for a mustang and then all they had to do was put go fast parts on them, not like that helped them go faster but thats another rant.
Im waiting to actualy see the dudes truck on the street my buddy franks truck has a monster of a 383 in it that he built and ive been in that truck its stupid insane quick
As a passanger in that truck i was actually a little scared
Doesnt help my fat ass didnt fit in the race lap belt he had lol
He also plans to go Blown next year during the engines class and that truck will be Insane
