    They do become brittle. I think you would be fine because the O-Ring would be the part would be there and Im sure with the rails holding everything down there probably would not be an issue. However, its not something I would feel particularly comfortable trying out.

    I know, all I can pictue is fuel spraying on my new valve covers or worse yet I get it all put back together looking sweet and then FIRE!!!
