Hey guys, long weekend was nice and long.
Quick update, I swapped out the master light switch, not it. I also checked the photo cell and P/Brake switch as well. I have used some elect contact cleaner everywhere I could and will attack it again this week. I have some more ideas. Back soon..
I am not done yet, but I have ruled out pretty much all of the obvious. I have zero time on this car so I really dont know any of the electrical ties in with other systems. So I am almost done screwing around, off to GM to have one of the kids there have a go. My feeling all along is that they know what it is that is wrong and just dont want to give away the surpirse ending...
I told my wife that if the harness is done I am going to remove everything and drive in next years Smash up derby.
Thank you all for the help.

all stop,,,,,,okay more research (my buddy Dan)tells me that it is most likely the Daytime Running Lights Module.
I would like to know where it is located!!!!My auto recyler has mentioned that the same car just came in, so if I can find this part is located I will be that much farther ahead.
any ideas on where it is, colour, number, has the name on it (doubtful)...
thanx again
man there is a dozen in there and non as normal are marked. I can handle hard to reach, it the hard to find I am having troubles with. I have the morning off so I am going to go start removing stuff.
I plan on taking pics of this thing and posting it here whenever I actually get that far...
keeping sending ideas
later
well I am trying to not take it personaly. I am handuffed by no manual and any useful exp on that car. It goes to the kids at Pontiac in the morning....crap![]()
We have lights, it took him almost 2 hours to find it and fix it, but in my defence, I ruled out most components leaving the harness for him, he opened it up and found the pinch.
So many take aways from this problem
1. The simplest fix is only a wish
2. Nothing replaces a \Manual/Schematic
3. Sometimes you gotta swallow your pride/
I am selling it tomorrow...
going to drink beer and curse..later all and thanx again
The GT is my wifes ride. She loved it forever, until the lights went...now she wants something with AWD/4WD. We live were they plow the snow in the afternoon, making some days, a snow day. Good for me, I am kinda semi-retired and dont mind driving her to work in my truck, I have my Avalanche and it eats snow. I love driving around stranded 2wheel drives and any other car without snow tires. All season tires are not made for snow, geta a grip....hahahaha
SOLD, We cleaned it up real pretty. I rinsed all headlights/taillights with alcohol to clean out the water. They cleaned up real good. I had 114k on her and only one Power Steering Pump. Other than that she was a nice ride.
My wife rated the car after 10 years and 2 kids a very middle of the road 5. The early years were great, the latter years not so. The knickel and kdime you to death ( yes I wrote Knickle and kdeath)
I must now depart, until such time as a «GP GT is ineed. Later
