I've seen pics of them without grilles at all, leaving it open. Is it safe to leave it like that? I mean, your airbox might just need to be checked every now and then for debris if you don't have an intake, right?

Eh, I meant with the GPO grilles without the metal grille inserts. Like this:

I don't see an issue with running them without grilles. I say go for it.

thoes fig grills wouldnt look so bad if you paint the tabs behind them black to that you dont see the bumper protruding into the grille space. thats why the OEM's look better, they cover that up. oh yeah and fit.

Well still, it wouldn't "define" the grille shape like the oems or how it looks the gpo grilles do, if you know what I mean.

Well, I talked to Matt from GrilleFX and he said he's still shipping the GPOs. I might order some this week. I'll keep you guys posted.
