    1LE is over rated anyway. It's the same as most any 3rd or 4th gen with a few suspension options and maybe a few less convenience options. A/C FTW!

    You are kidding me, right?

    IIRC...

    1LE 3rd gen were either 305 5 -speed or 350 auto, Corvette brakes (which are amazing brakes), aluminum driveshaft, crankshaft, sway bars...just a bunch of cool stuff to have.

    1LE 4th gen's were ram air.

    They were both lighter cars, so that's why they didn't have AC...91-92 were the 1 LE's to get. And actually I think the B4C's had AC, but I could be wrong.

    So whatever crack you're smoking...

    Rare? Yes. Something to get excited over? Not really, especially if you're going to mod the car anyway and take away from its originality.

    Q: What's included in the 1LE performance package?

    A: The package required these options (Z28/Formula, respectively):

    Basic option group (FZAB/1SA)
    A/C delete (until 1996 when A/C became standard)
    6-speed transmission or performance rear axle with the automatic (GU5/G92)
    Z-rated tires w/ 150 speedo (QLC/QLC)
    Base stereo
    and it consisted of:

    Higher rate front springs (360 lbs/in for mid-1994 and after)
    Variable rate rear springs (130-180 lbs/in for mid-1994 and after)
    Stiffer front and rear shocks (Koni double adjustable for 1996 and after)
    Harder bushings (front upper/lower and rear control arms)
    Larger diameter anti-sway bars (32mm front, 21mm/19mm rear)
    Increased cooling (for 1995 and after)
    Engine oil cooler (1993 - 1995)
    Stronger Transmission mount for 6 speed Transmission's
    Stiffer Panhard-bar bushings

    The 1993 1LE cars had the same springs and deCarbon shocks (but with much stiffer valving) as on the stock Z28s and Formulas. Initial 1994 1LE cars received the same set-up, but sometime during model year (between Dec 94 and Mar 95), the 1LEs received stiffer (higher/variable rate) springs and the shock valving was slightly reduced (but still considerably stiffer than the stock deCarbon valving). Due to the stiffer springs and modified valving, the 21mm rear sway bar was dropped in favor of the 19mm bar (which was the same as on the stock Z28s and Formulas). In 1996, the Koni double adjustable shocks became standard on the 1LE cars. Increased cooling on 1995 and after models was accomplished by the addition of an air conditioning radiator baffle even though no AC was available in 1995. Also, after 1995, in order to get the 1LE on the Firebird or Trans Am you had to order the WS6 package. According to the 1997 Pontiac brochure, the 1LE package could not be ordered with the automatic transmission.
    GM hyped to LE1 to sale it to people just like you.

    dont worry he needs to make his car go as fast as he can post to catch ya....

    and dont worry, you have nothing to fear

    94 1LE....1 of 114 in the USA....think thats rare...and worth a LOT...since it was all oem. oh well.

    this formula weighs in at 3040lbs....lighter than a 1LE...with suspension...its not the way my camaro was for drag yet...but I'll get it there. I love the pontiacs...I wont buy another camaro.

    you must realize that rare does not mean value always, there are some very rare cars that have no real value whatsoever, the 1LE may gain in value, but right now it's not worth any more except to someone looking for that specific car, they are still a bit too new (the second gen cars are just now starting to gain value)

    The whole purpose of buying a 1LE is the same reason people buy the Firehawk, Daytona, or special/anniversary edition anything: to have a 1 of whatever number. I wasn't aware there was anything wrong with collecting cars?? I know there are plenty of "people just like" me, most especially if you can turn a fast couple of dollars on a resale.

    So, since you said it, now I have to ask...Why would you mod a 1LE? And is this before or after you learn the difference between sale and sell?
    ~~~~~~
    I could list my mods, but Sideways has an ungodly list. I dare not try to compete.
    You'd mod an 1LE cause it's slow stock, now get off your high horse grammar Nazi. I really doubt you're going to turn a fast couple of dollars selling a 1LE. From now on I will call you Kyle, you just remind me of a Kyle for some reason. Do you have 0KR?
