For your sig, took me a little bit to figure that out. If its not checked in your profile to add it, then down at the bottom of the page when you make a post, in Miscellaneous Options, check the box for Show your signature and it should work.

You have to click the button that says insert signature next to it in your profile info and make sure show signature is checked. Or include the tags: [ sigpic][ /sigpic] (without the spaces) if you've got a picture. Anyhow, welcome to the site!
