With a brand new pan and gasket, yeah that's about right.

It calls for seveal hours of labor to do the job, I thought it was somewhere around 4-5 hours with dropping the subframe to gain clearance. I'd shop around and see if anyone offers a cheaper labor price.

Way back when in like 2009 with my first grand prix I had to pay to get mine done and it was like $400-500.

if you got the time and the tools to do the job it would be cheaper by a long shot, and then you own them forever, or can sell them.

engine support, or engine hoist jack stands, floor jack, and a hand full of hand tools, basic 30 piece socket set and some wrenches.

then you need to lower the sub frame to make room to get the pan out.

if you do find a shop, do tell them to rtv both sides of the new pan gasket, and to use thread sealant on the pan bolts. or its just gonna leak again.
