    I just installed my PCM and i went for a test drive.... i knew the shift points were changed but shifting out of 1st gear flooring it it went pretty deep into the red line and this might sound ridiculous but i just wanna make sure its supposed to do that cause seeing it shift that far into it kinda scares me lol

    What RPM's is it shifting at?


    Other issues could include-

    1. PCM was tuned wrong
    2. Transmission is slipping

    i will get back to you tonight when i get another chance to take it out picking my gf up from work.. cause her cars sitting in my garage yay head gasket change on a grand am

    usually the tach isnt that accurate. the car is shifting before it gets to where it does on the tach.

    if all you got was a PCM i bet youre shifting at 6000 unless you specified something different.

    if it looks like it is going to about 6200 or so then youre just fine.

    yea, i had a zzp pcm in my old gtp. thats about what it shifted at. you should be fine. just take a video. like said above tachs arent completely accurate. if you have a scanner try to figure out the real point it's shifting at.

    your probably just fine, our tach's are off by a hair, mine shifts right around yours but, my scanner doesn't go past the 6 mark.

    Well its fine minus the fact that you have ZZP PCM. Throw that thing in the trash before your oil pan ends up looking like a shredded pop can.

    Don't trash it. It's still a good PCM. Just get another file loaded on it. It's not locked.

    i wasnt gonna trash it but im losing my garage at the end of the month cause im moving so im gonna get a loan and get a VS cam new lifters/pushrods and im thinking headers when this loan comes through cause unfortunately i have no where to install so im gonna have a local shop put them in but after that my gf's dad live out in grand rapids and i was gonna take a trip and let them dyno it to make it more specific
