Center Console Swap from 04+ to a 97-03?

Sorry to revive an OLD thread, but nobody answered this question. Can you do an interior swap from 04+ to a 97-03 without having to fabricate a bunch of parts... like do the dashes just bolt in to the right place and *BAM* you've got a new interior? If not, would one of the corresponding generations of other w-bodies interiors fit? Thanks for the info.

Buddy only asked about the console, not the whole interior. Anything is possible with some work, and swapping interiors would take a LOT of work, only the seats would be bolt-in.

Any input on what the "lot" of work is? Im assuming the BCM would need some wiring changes (or could i plug the 04+ BCM into the older body?), and that AC tubes and stuff would need moving around. Am I right that actual metal frame that my 2002 has is the same as the frame of the 2004? Does that also include all of the frame (like door, floor, pillars etc) or just the bottom that everything sits on?

Also, thanks for the input. I've done work on my engine, and the folks from this forum and the videos and guides they've supplied have been WAY helpful
