Horrible looking valve seals. And how did you manage to break a valve ? 2nd , how did you manage to break a valve and NOT notice ? Geez man that sucks. I feel bad for ya - hope there isn't any damge
Putting new seals on , I like to use a deep 10mm socket and tap down the seals until they seat.

I would check the rear head as well

edit - I just re read your post. You already pulled the head and the valve hasn't fallen out yet? Now I'm confused

still confused how it continued to run with out any damage to the cylinder. Where is the rest of the valve ?

You may want to get your hearing, feeling and eyes checked.
That head is effed up beyond help. That was making one hell of a racket because you were running on 5 cylinders with the valve head bonking around in the cylinder for what appears to be a very long time. Everyone in a car near you heard it, felt it, saw the unburned crap coming out of the cylinder. FYI, now I'm thinking you are deaf, dumb and blind.

Nope, they will tell him to start over. Know the funny thing... he was following your "no ic" advice. Damn...we should consider this your fault and that would make two engines in two months... lol

Anyone that has ever worked on an engine knows that piston and cylinder are fubared. Hence no picture. He "was just gonna replace a used head gasket" for no apparent reason.

I call BS from the beginning. Own up to it Jay.. because right now we all think you are a deaf, dumb, blind lyin mofo.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Bullsh1t Bill dont be chucking me under the fvcking bus my car runs on e85 and had been dyno tuned for it with the s1x cam.

Jays car can'd tune for xp setup and e85. Jay running an xpz cam and ill bet a bone stock pcm since this was in his impala not the grand prix..... I highly doubt he switched tunes considering he cant just yank the xp one from the grand prix and stick it in the impala with the XPZ cam.

Cmon Bill you know better dont be trashing my name you know damn well tlhis engine would not have looked like this if he had a PROPER damn e85 tune for the xpz cam Interfailer or not that has zero to do with why it blew so saying its my advice is complete bullsh1t.

xpz cam, god knows what pulley, likely stock impala pcm and likely piss gas pump gas isnt going to end pretty as the pics of the engine show.......
How I treat my car: wreck, fix, repeat.
