I already like you. Like most people, they try to run the smallest pulley they can with minimal timing, you seem to be opposite with a larger pulley and higher timing. Timing > Boost.
I run a 3.4 on my Gen V (Mods in my sig), at 16* of timing without e85. I bet you could easily run a 3.3" on a Gen V with close to 20* of timing still. E85 is wonderful stuff.
Start with your 3.3", set your timing at like 17* and go for a spin. No KR, increase timing 1* until you either see KR or get above 20*. If your still KR free after 20* timing on a 3.3, well, I'd invest in a 3.2" and start again.
