    '97 GTP w/ 115k miles

In the past few weeks I've been getting a humming noise and slight vibration anytime I drive the car above 40 mph all the way up to highway speeds. Both go away when the car slows to about 40 mph. The noise seems to be coming from the front drivers side and I can feel the vibration through the shifter, steering wheel and the floor of the car. I noticed today going 45ish around a bend that when I turned the wheel to the left the noise seemed to subside, and when I brought it back to center the noise came back.

I also get intermittent "ABS" and "Check Tire Pressure" lights (Tire pressure is fine). Before they would only go on when I romped on the gas but now they come at random. Both either are on or off, not one or the other.

I'm guessing a bad wheel bearing for the noise/vibration, but would that also cause the ABS/tire pressure lights to come on? I would think that would be caused by a sensor or something along those lines. I'm going to check the bearing (hopefully) this weekend. Anything else you guys think I should look for or inspect while I have the car up?

bad hub will light up the abs lights, t/c off light, brake light.

no idea about the tps. mine never lights in my regal unless a tire is soft. but i guess because it works by the speed sensor that it could be affected too.

Totally agree on it being a bearing, when you turn that certain way you had taken all the load off that side and thus the noise went away.

Over half of failed wheel bearings never set ABS lights, and of those that DO set lights, the bearing itself is still in perfect working order. It annoys me to no end when people say bad hubs only happen when the ABS light is set.

Figured it was the bearing, just wanted others thoughts on it. I just replaced them a couple years ago, oh well.

I was driving home from work today and heard a clunking/popping and got a "low traction" light, so it looks like I'll be getting a rental for the rest of the week until I get a chance to fix this. Can't risk breaking down on the way to work with a 120 mile round trip lol.

Bearings are quick and easy swap anyways.. Set 30-45 mins (if that) aside and go swap the damn thing no need for a rental

Yeah I know I did them a few years ago. Too late on the rental though, already picked one up (Taurus SEL, not a bad car btw.) Tbh its way too cold out and I don't feel like doing it after working all day. So rental it its lol
