Alright, another update. After I stepped on it a few times going up and down the highway, I returned home, and it seemed to idle perfectly with everything hooked up (vac lines and MAF) for about 6 minutes, then all of a sudden the problem came back again. Now every time I start it the problem is there. Very strange.

Is the maf still unplugged? You need to let it run/drive it enough that it uses table data vs actual airflow. Don't beat on it with the maf unplugged.

It's not a multilevel problem and there aren't levels in this game... aka it's not Super Mario Bros.

The MAF was replugged in at that point.

And by multilevel I mean there could be multiple issues, it could be a compound problem.

You might have more than one issue. However by plugging the maf (which seemed to test as bad) back in, you are potentially causing other items to compensate and act bad as well.

Fix your known issues and many other things you believe to be bad, will seem to magically fix themselves.

Once the car reaches operating temperature, it seems to run much better. Not perfect, but better. Any ideas on why that would be?

I am reposting this from my other thread to get it maximum exposure, because I need my car running ASAP as it is my only mode of transportation and cannot afford to take it to a shop. I apologize in advance if this goes against any forum rules.

Alright fellas, a new problem has arisen. My 2000 GTP died today on the highway all-of-a-suddenly and it will not start back up. There was no noticeable knocking or anything, however the RPMs were fluctuating going down the highway from about 2200-2400. When you turn the engine over to try to start it, it doesn't sound right. It's like there is no compression within the engine, there is no resistance for the starter. All you hear is the whine of the starter engine, and an occasional backfire.

The car is getting spark, there is fuel being delivered to the rails, and both the cam and crank are spinning when the car turns over...

It is also throwing a P0102 code and a P0341 (cam sensor). However, from what I have read - a bad cam sensor would not cause it to fail to start, it would simply run poorly.

Throw out any possible ideas you can think of and I'll test them. I need the car up and running tomorrow so I can get to class.

Thank you in advance, any questions feel free to ask!

A: bad cam sensor would run poor and possibly stall, or not start at all, try chaging it with a known good one or B: your timing is off.
