Where else is an acceptable place to mount the big azz IC?

Why does the waste gate need to be so far from the IC?

Some of it is, but he is supposed to be a good mechanic on the west side of the state. I knew he mainly build transmissions and was highly recommended, but i am on the east side of the state and do not have a modded car and i have a mechanic as a father so i dont use him!

Why are you asking about the proximity of the wastegate and intercooler? The wastegate dumps the boost between shifts so you dont break things, and when the throttle is closed. Has nothing to do with the intercooler. Like i had said before, you need to do a lot of reading and have a basic knowledge of what this car is.

And, you want the IC in front tho preferably with a bumper, and non cut up cover. But thats just me, you want it in front so it gets the coldest air possible to cool the intake charge.

Isn't the wastegate connected to the intercooler? The piping is to close to the exhaust where it exits under the car and is rattling. Just annoying. I guess it's possible that the IC is bigger than it needs to be?

When I'm finished with it, NONE of it will be half azzed. It looks like a kid has been working on it and, either lost interest or, ran out of cash. Crap, the screws weren't even put back in in a lot of places.

The kid (he is 23 I think) I bought it from didn't have it for more than a month. His dad told me he changes cars like socks. I believe this one scared him. I can and will fix it. Even if I need to pull off the turbo garbage and put I back to stock.

Thats probably where everything got fubarred even more was the last kid. When it was turboed originally by the guy who bought it from ls1gtp and with the help of Andrew it was done, but seemed pretty quick that they did it but dont think they would half a$$ it since Andrew is well known. But if you want to sell the headlights if they are still the same from the pic on the hoist, without a doubt there are many that would love to buy them!

New question. Do you have an opinion of Seafoam? I run it through my Harley and other gas engines.

Just throwing it out there because I'm sure you will get asked about it. I have a set and its the same way but you can always buy them off a car someone is parting for cheap and just put regular bulbs into it or hid's.

I have never ran seafoam but I'm sure plenty of others can answer that

Thanks. I guess I could star a bidding war and see I could make a few bucks, but, my son loves the car so, that isn't going to happen.

I think I better pull of the plastic on the rockers though. ITHURTZ said It's going to fall off when it completely rusts out.

yup, the waste gate lets out the boost when you let off the gas, the extra pressure needs to go somewhere. thats that sound you hear when you let off the gas after getting on it.

Well then, it sounds like the pipes stay where they are. How about wrapping them where they come together with heat wrap? Any problem with that?

the wastegate is that open pipe you posted in your pics.

this is the end of it. where the boost blows out when you let off the gas pedal.
