He already runs e85.
On another note... I just read the thread (all 4 posts) in the link Bill provided to back up his wild ideas.
There's absolutely nothing in there that has any sort of relevance... at all.
The thread can be summed up like this.
Someone is trying to get a cheap tune, and someone else copies and pastes what ZZP said is included in their pcm adjustments.
I'm not sure how that was supposed to support his position, at all.
Go ahead... read it.

^ wtf is wrong with this world....
I might regret saying this but... Couldent we test these theories? Basically if we take someone who has kr on shifts and then do various runs with torque management on and off wouldent that settle this? Heck ill do it if this is still such a hot issue. Wouldent take me more then 20 mins to put a small post together.
I only get a blip of KR at the shift SOMETIMES and not every time. Even pre-e85 and when running 93 I got the same occasional blip... Whether it's detonation or not, I'm not worried about it...

Nick... you argue with anyone about anything.
Watched you argue with PRJ/Zoomer etc over on CGP about tuning etc etc. Heck.. Mike Kopistan told you where to go quite nicely. You saying that I have issues with vendors is hilarious, there's quite a few I have talked to or gotten calls from over the years. Had you read what I said, I mentioned I didn't find much of anything and was looking further. That might be easier for you to see if you pulled down your Hello Kitty sunglasses and thought more about what was said than how to plan a retort.
Easy way to see how full of crap I am about this shift KR and if there's any merit around, go look at the tune beyond timing and PE. Til then.. go ahead and try to say you know everything, have tuned more cars than anyone etc etc. You call a lot of people out and don't prove a thing yourself.
Chris.. if you'd like your thread cleaned up from this BS, holler and I'll take care of it.
I didn't say you argue with anyone or vendors... I'm telling you that PRJ, Intense, ZZP, and anyone with a brain knows what you're saying is wrong. This is 3800 101, intro to the basics.
Here's a piece of one of Chris' data logs.
As you can see, a frame caught mid-shift. The timing is at ZERO... this represents torque management. Notice there's NO KR during this torque management. Your infantile position on this is put to rest right here.
As for the blips of KR, they happen every time, at the same RPM, with the same intensity. This is FALSE KNOCK. There was no actual ping/detonation/knock etc, etc, etc.
Your attempts to seem correct by telling people lies about me aren't working. The proof is right in the scans, and I challenge anyone who has a tuner to go log their own cars to confirm it.
Yup, I usually got those same blips right around 4700rpm post shift when on 93 as well..
Dan, I may get an ls1 maf before dropping to a 2.8

This is how my files are setup also. Never saw KR in shifting situations. As you can see, a frame caught mid-shift. The timing is at ZERO... this represents torque management. Notice there's NO KR during this torque management. Your infantile position on this is put to rest right here.
Not "false knock"As for the blips of KR, they happen every time, at the same RPM, with the same intensity. This is FALSE KNOCK. There was no actual ping/detonation/knock etc, etc, etc.
