Minus buying bikes in fall/winter for dirt cheap.
|
yea there where some dirt cheap ones this winter here...and people getting out of the military also tend to sell theirs pretty cheap for moving purposes
Buy an old cheap honda. I only have $50 wrapped up in my 79 cx 500 and that's because I needed new turn signal lenses and tires.
I learned to ride on an 81 Yamaha maxim 550. plenty fast, and lets you learn to respect the machine. after that I rode everything from a Harley to crotch rockets with enough confidence and respect to enjoy riding each one. I prefer the import bikes over Harleys. riding a Harley you have to physically make the bike do what you want, where as my old Yamaha I just kind of think of turning left or right and it just responded
Not a fan of Harleys either, too overhyped, outdated and expensive. As for first bike I still am on my suzuki gs500. Amazing bike to learn on. Its a naked standard so no fairings to break or chrome yo scratch if you dump it.
Yeah but your going to cry more if u have scratched fairings or chrome
