    Okay this is whats gonna happen.

    If you bought the remote starter at bestbuy installation is included in the price of the starter.
    They're going to tell you that you need the immobilizer, you can tell them that you don't need it but they're probably gonna install it anyway. They do this because if they were to take someones word for it and they ended up needing an immobilizer, it would take the tech guy twice as long to do it because he would have to go back and install the immobilizer.

    That's what they guy who installed mine did. He installed it with it. Then disconnected it, and when it worked with out it he removed it.

    Just make sure you're not paying for it in the end.
