Thought of that, haven't gotten around to looking into it. Thanks for the name, gives me a starting point for research. The results for "Florida Community College" in Google are very overwhelming.
Kind of like that idea better, would allow me to establish residency. FSU instate tuition is $7k, out of state is $26k. Huge difference. Same goes for UCF, which honestly has better and more up to date IT programs.
Trick will be finding a job to sustain myself for 12months...

And the fact that TCC is stupid cheap compared to FSU. When I was there a few years ago tuition was only $86 compared to FSU which was at least $110.

Aha... I pay $140 a cred here at a CC. Those both sound good.

TCC is a good choice from what a buddy of mines has mentioned to me. You can also check out either UWF or PSC if your looking within the Pensacola area. I use to go to PSC (formally PJC) but after they changed from a community college to a state college tuition went up quite a bit so I transferred out. Pensacola itself isn't a bad area but you do have parts of the town that you want to try to avoid...it's a rather small town so you tend to run out of things to do but you always have the convenience of the beach plus areas like Ft Walton, Destin, Gulfbreeze, Niceville, Crestview etc which aren't to far away. Weigh out your options because out of state tuition is usually ridiculously expensive!

^ Yep, the Fiance goes there. Smaller campus, very small live-on-campus population, much larger commuting population.

I will say it is a nice campus, and they do offer a big variety of courses for a smaller school.

Smaller campus sounds nice. My current CC has an annual enrollment of like 32k, which isn't small at all. And I don't mind honestly. Like it quite a bit. Real uncertain of a place like UCF with an enrollment of like 54k people a year. Plus idk about Orlando. Tampa/Tally sounds much nicer. If I stay here in IL and pursue my options here, I'll be paying $480-720 a credit. Schools are higher ranked and have update to date programs here in IL, but in the end nobody cares about rank. Really wanna move to FL and figure I can spend my money where I want, especially since I may end up saving down there.

Yes, I go to College of Dupage. Anywhere from 28-32k enrollment a year. It's the second biggest educational institution in the state. The first is the flagship, U of I, which only wins by a couple thousand and basically has it own town.
Probably why I'm paying $140 a credit with in-district discounts too (~50%)...along with IL being expensive and corrupt in general.
Been doing more reading on the job market in Florida, particularly the IT job market. Its becoming a roadblock. Especially considering I'm having some difficulty up here getting something, and there's probably roughly 5x the openings available here. Positions are available down there, just not in volumes. Seems like it won't be possible unless I can pile enough money up before August to live on for at least 6 months down there, should it take that long to find something.

Gonna do more reading and hopefully find some hope. So many variables.
