The GF another member and myself all shared a room, and split the cost of it 3 ways. So @ $45./night each one of us paid $60.00 before tax. THATS freaking cheap for how nice of a hotel this is in Branson of all places.

Lunch is cheap, dinner is cheap, shoot the whole event is cheap for what you get out of it. Best bang for the buck, and I am glad its in September, cause I have all the time from now till then to look forward to it. Makes working my job easier in the summer knowing I have this waiting for me at the end of the season.

Drive for us to the hotel from Wichita, KS was around 5 hours I believe. But in a caravan, and listening to good music the whole way it only felt like 2.5-3 hours for me.

LOL If I was driving that fast, I would be watching the road, not my hud.

That was Coltrane's HUD image though his windshield. He was trying to keep up. I sure hope he goes this year, Grand Prix or not, hes fun to hang out with.

LOL! I haven't seen that pic in awhile.

That's what I get for knowing the cars and not the people's faces. Was looking for the GP not the TL and was so busy/distracted that I never got to talk to him (or quite a few members) or get my fenders rolled.

lucky ya'll it'd be a long trip for me i can't afford to come this sucks :-(
Come on now, that's only like 7 1/2 hours. I we left at the same time. You could be unpacked, full stomach, and drunk before I got there. Really, everything is pretty cheap and reasonable. Put your mind to it and save the little needed weekly to go.

I can't wait to go again this year. Its ALWAYS fun hitting that back road to the track. Hitting those hills, we were going near 100 down and up them. I think I left my bladder back on those hills when we hit it going up

And then almost rear ending Swash or Reptile when we were heading to the track cause someone decided to turn left and didnt bother using the actual turn lane I had some serious NEGATIVE pucker factor on that one

Don't worry, not everyone is going mach 1. I was alright last year, but my right ear hurt a few times from my proximity sensor (wife) going off unnecessarily. 2 or 3 months, well you have 8 so you're covered.

Good to see you got it in. I just called them when I did mine, a couple minutes and done. There's already quite a few that have reservations in. I'm very happy to see people committing to this early.

It makes it way easier on the organizers and sponsors when they can see that and not as much up in the air. Same with when registration opens in May, sign up as early as possible. It's good to have everyone there, but makes it alot smoother for them and the event if they can have everyone in early and be better prepared. I'm excited about the early showing and think this is gonna be an even better event than 2006/07.

People that already have rooms reserved:

What dates did you reserve? BGPM is scheduled for the 4th-6th, but does that mean that everybody shows up on thursday, or everbody shows up and stays at the hotel wednesday night too?

Just wanted to make sure before I did the full reservation process...

Haven't decided when we will be getting there on Wednesday ourselves. I know we want to go a day early so we can go do a bunch of stuff around town on our own before the event starts. Stuff we have been eye balling to do for the past 2 years now we have gone to Branson for the GP Meet, but never had time to do it.

    I'm booking our room tomorrow.

Just got done booking ours. I let them know we (Jess and I) will be a late check in more than likely. Just waiting for them to call me back now.
