2010 Grand Prix Gathering...a decade later?

Back from the dead? The thread about the 2001 GP Meet, the Concept GP pics, and the fact of Branson looking slimmer by the day(from the local boards)...got me thinking of trying to gather the GP crowd for a meet at KCIR on a Saturday or Sunday sometime this spring or fall, just like they did 9 years ago. I'd like people's input to get a general thought...I think it would be a cool way to get everyone together...and for those that can't afford a hotel stay, activities, or that week off of work, or drinking all weekend...this is just a drive up...race, hang out, and drive back kind of thing. I'm just rambling as I thought it would be pretty cool...thoughts, comments...all positive and negative welcome...

kans-ass? is kinda far what about st. louis? had someone told me about the midnight madness at the gateway drag every friday i think? that would be something i wouldn't mind driving to even tho it's about 5-6 hours from chicago.

Stl thing is a Bad idea for the midnight madness too many stupid people and they only let a certian number of people in in and thats it. once gates close they are closed for good. and its only a few times a year on a friday night not every friday night. FYI

Right around Lake of the Ozarks there is a more Rural drag strip i might be able to talk the owner of it(my moms boss) into letting us have it for a day.

by rural i just mean locale... its a VERY nice strip. will post pics when i can find em
