I'll probably be able to make it again this year, even if I don't have a job, which is unlikely. But I gotta get my CV axles(or whatever they are) replaced, before I'm takin a 200+ mile roadtrip

are you just getting axle grease along the side of your car and under your hood or is it worse? If it's just grease here and there, it's just the boots, which aren't too bad to replace.

Best of luck in the repairs

Well, theres grease on the frame right under the axle, and a very small amount on the underside of the hood.

But when I go around turns and push the gas, the car has a violent shake, but only if I'm on the throttle. And it's always shaking lightly just going down the road.

Could that be the Motor or Tranny Mounts???

Sound like it's just the boot that is bad. It's a typical wear-n-tear issue. I just had to replace my passenger side not too long ago.

As far as your shaking problem, it could be a mount. How hard are you pushing the throttle around these turns?

    Thanks Dave

    Matt,

Just about any throttle and it starts shaking, the harder the throttle, the harder the shake.

I think I'm just gonna put new motor mounts, tranny mount, passenger cv axles. Might as well just go ahead and get all new stuff, its got 107k on it.

changing the axles isn't that bad of a job. I have replaced both mine. Like you are getting the heavy vibrations while accelerating, so was I. And it was CRAZY bad when getting onto an interstate while going around an on-ramp. If you do this yourself, remember to unplug your ABS/TCS plug on the wheel hub. I forgot.....$100 mistake, pulled the wires out of the hub, and it wasn't repairable. If you have ay questions about it, PM me.

100K mark is when a lot of things go from my experience. I have 110K and have been surprised nothing major has died. I think I have been lucky.

Thanks for the compliment, Matt. It really means a lot.

You're missing a word out of that sentence Matt, but I think you're getting a little cocky there

Sorry I still haven't updated the list - I just got out of a 3:30-12 shift at work and I'm back at the hospital overnight, watching my grandfather again so my mom can go home and get some rest (he's waaaaay into Alzheimer's and Dimensia, and he keeps trying to pull all his **** out every 5 minutes )

I'll get outta here at 7am, get home, get some sleep, and hopefully have that damned thing updated later tomorrow...I know I keep saying it, but things just keep popping up unexpectedly

Well Brian I think everyone would agree that you do what you have to do, and if anyone knocks you for not updating the list so far then they very well may have issues of their own.
