OK, tried to take cheap route and used aftermarket reman MAF....should have known better - and if I would have known about this forum earlier, would have. Question now is do the AC Delco MAF's play welll with us? (01 GTP) I think the OEM one was AC Delco branded but not sure. Dealer wants $391, GM Parts direct is $256 with shipping and Rock Auto has AC Delco for about $175 with shipping. Anyone know if it's compatible and makes PCM smile?

If you have access to a junk yard see if you can grab one. Should be a bunch cheaper, but I would see if they warranty any parts just incase it doesn't solve your problem or is DOA.

Yeah, possibility, but I live pretty much out in the sticks with none to be found in 60 mile radius at least. Don,t even mind paying the $171 if it would work.. .still a lot cheaper than $391. Just hoping someone could verify if AC Delco is compatible with the PCM on these cars. Thanks for the reply.

search the part # on the old stock maf and search for it on e bay, used maf's are all over the place for 40 bucks.
