Hello To All!! This Is My First Post And I Hope And Pray Someone Can Shine Some Light On My Issue....... I Own a 98 Lumina LTZ I Tossed The 3.4 v6 and Built A 2001 GTP Motor and Tossed It In Here Is The List Of Mod's......

2001 GM 3800 Series II V6, ZZP Full Length Stainless Headers, Ported and Polished Heads, Comp Cams "Hot" Roller Cam, 1.9 Roller Rockers, Double Valve Springs, Polished Upper and Lower Intake, 3.5 Supercharger Pulley, ZZP Stage 1 ECM Tune, K&N 4 Inch Cold Air Intake, Accel Coils, MSD Street Fire Plug Wires, E3 Spark Plugs, 2.5 Stainless Exhaust, Flowmaster 40 Series Mufflers and 3.5 Inch Polished Tips, ZZP Strut Tower Brace

I Recently Been Having Some Issues With The Motor Not Running Right.... It Seems Like Its Lacking Fuel But I Have Good Pressure To The Rails I Changed The Fuel Filter, Crank Sensor, MAP,TPS,Air Idle, Mass Air and Plugs And Coils Plus ICU!! It Runs Great For 30 Seconds Or So Then Stumbles and Sounds Like Its Loading Up It Will Clear Itself Out If You Up The Idle To 2500RPM or so as soon as you let off its back to lacking power and spittin and then finially quits.... Turn The Key Off and Wait 5 Seconds or So Start it and it runs good for 8-10 seconds then back to the issues....... I Just Came Home From Town One Day and Went Outside 20 Min Later and now its doing this.... There is no security light or engine light i hooked a scanner to it and got only a O2 Code and A/C code ( No A/C Pump)

ANY INFO WOULD BE SO HELPFUL I BEEN AT THIS FOR OVER A WEEK AND I AM AT THE END OF THE ROPE

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

What are double springs? Get rid of those junk plugs and you can't run a cam with 1.9's.

Firs thing I want to know is the cam specs.

Because if whatever it is, coupled with the 1.9's, without proper valve guide milling, will cause issues. Factory guides only allow up to .550"~ of max lift.

    • 212°/224° at .050"
    • Intake Lift .325" (.520" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
    • Exhaust Lift .335" (.536" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
    • 116 Lobe Separation

You Were Correct They Are 1.6 Rockers

Those are the specs WITH 1.6:1 ratio rockers (which are stock ones)

If you have 1.9's, then that changes the ballgame you're playing...and you'll need milled valve guides to run those rockers.

Did milling the guides mean nothing here?

If you don't have clearance for the maximum lift you're getting with those rockers and cam, why are you trying to replace other parts when you haven't answered if the heads are clearanced for your current valvetrain setup?

The guides, not the heads themselves.

Are we on the same page here?
