I just recently bought a 2002 GTP and I love it! Now it's time to upgrade. I was just wondering where I should start.

Sound system, paper cone stock sounds like death. Just the 6*9's should only cost about 70 bucks for some nice kickers ds69. I have more bass than my friend with subs. And it doesent rattle the **** out of every piece of metal in the car (like subs do). Also a head unit looks nice and u can add bass boost which the speakers can handle.

Change the lower intake manifold gaskets with the improved version if they have not already been replaced.

It would probably be helpful to know if you're a mechanic, never touched a wrench, etc.

And goals for the car. Do you want it to be pretty? Sound good? Handle well? Go fast? Be reliable?

    Is there a budget?
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

Thank you guys. Personally I have never worked on a car myself, but I have many friends that work at auto shops or dealers as mechanics and they do everything themselves, so I am wanting to learn. And as for budget, its just going to be one thing at a time, as money allows

Cheapest and easiest upgrade would be to remove the air box and make your own "hot air" intake.
