Looking to find a place that is reliable and safe to order a ACDELCO PART NUMBER:10142050 Throttle valve cable for by 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix with 3.1 v6 4 speed auto.
I recently had to replace the headgaskets do to a large coolant passage leak on exterior of rear headgasket. In the process I had to remove the Exhaust crossover pipe and unknowingly broke the boot where the TV cable connects the the trans. Did not notice until test drive when the car was holding out shifts way to long and shifting at times for no reason. When inspecting the cable it is still connected but it can be moved around and lifted off trans valve body.
The trick to this is after hours of calling around, getting directed to dealerships, they found one in the entire US which when they called the dealership they cant find it. I searched ebay with no luck and living in PA its hard to find a day to go picking through junk yards, in which thanks to cash for clunkers down have any of these cars.
